The Buddyz Story
The Scarnato Brothers have been involved in the pizza business going on 25 years. They began their dream with their first carry out/delivery restaurant in the northern suburbs of Chicago back in 1992. The brothers drew from their roots, taking family recipes and influences and using that to build their take of the “Chicago style” pizzas and other local staples. The food has always been made fresh, including the dough, sauces and their own 3 cheese blend, grated in house every day.
Buddyz Chicago Pizzerias specialize in Thin Crust, Hand Tossed (Chicago area locations), Butter crust pan and the customer favorite Chicago style deep dish. Other menus favorites include Italian Beefs. Homemade meatballs, Italian sausage, pastas, fresh salads and so much more.
After opening 3 carry out delivery locations under their name Pizza Italia, The Scarnato Brothers settled on the growing suburb of Algonquin to open their first full service restaurant called Buddyz, A Chicago Pizzeria in 2005. Buddyz provided the area with an upscale casual restaurant with family and friends in mind. In 2010 they opened their second location in the new downtown Mchenry Riverwalk development. This location featured a larger bar along with outdoor seating as well as a boat dock with access to the Fox River.
Arizona came calling in 2013 as their third location opened in the east valley of Phoenix in the town of Queen Creek. It has quickly become a Phoenix area favorite, with customers and critics alike.
Their success has brought even more expanding in the coming months. The first Buddyz food truck will debut in October 2016 and a second east valley located in Gilbert will follow soon after.
